Jeans Fit Finder is designed to collect the minimum data possible. This policy explains exactly what stays on your device and what leaves it.

What we store

The extension stores the following on your device using Chrome's storage.local API:

This data never leaves your device via our extension. It is not synced to any server we operate. You can clear it by removing the extension.

What the extension reads

When you click "Scan This Page" or "Scan Collection", the extension reads the HTML of the product or category page you are currently viewing to locate a size chart. The extension does not read any page unless you initiate a scan.

For collection scans, the extension fetches additional product pages from the same shop you are currently browsing (using the shop's origin) so it can check size charts across the whole collection.

What data leaves your device

Baseline (AI fallback disabled): nothing.

If you enable the optional AI fallback by pasting an Anthropic API key: when the extension cannot parse a size chart from HTML, it sends the text content of the current product page (up to ~8,000 characters) directly from your browser to Anthropic's Messages API at https://api.anthropic.com, authenticated with your own API key. The extension operator does not see or receive this data. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy.

What we do not collect

Third parties

The only third-party service the extension may contact is Anthropic's API, and only if you opt in by providing your own key. See Anthropic's privacy policy for how they handle API requests.

Changes to this policy

If the extension's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
